This post is a little late, but I just had to share. St. Nick's Day was a tradition my family had growing up. I really wanted to do the same thing with Trace. The tradition is that the night before you put your shoe out and St. Nick leaves a present "in" your shoe. Usually the present was too big to fit in a shoe so it was just placed next to the shoe. T's shoes are so little that I decided to put both of his out. I forgot all about St. Nick's Day until we were getting ready for bed. T ended up with one of his toys that was intended for Christmas morning. Oh well!

Guess who started cooking again?
What you need
8 ounces of cream cheese (full fat kind!)
half of a diced yellow onion
30 ounces of frozen hash browns
3 (14 ounce) cans of chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 teaspoon pepper (I used more)
Combine all ingredients in the bowl of your slow cooker. Cook on low 7 hours or until the potatoes are cooked through.
This was A-MAZ-ING. I made some bacon to use as a garnish along with shredded cheddar cheese. Next time I may use frozen American fries instead, but who knows.
Recipe found here.
Perfect meal for a lazy Sunday!

Every year my mom, our girlfriends and I get together for a liquor exchange. Its always so much fun!!!! This year Betty hosted (thanks Betty!). Betty lives in a huge house in the middle of a moat. Its haunted.... for real. Her house used to be a school and then a bunch of gangsters lived there after that. I'm thinking Betty should do a guest post about her house because her stories are something else. Anyway, Betty just had a new addition built on to the house and that's where we had our party. In the past we had always gone out, but this year a new tradition was born. Every year is now a potluck and we are all going to take turns hosting. I brought my favorite spinach and artichoke dip. Recipe found here. I forgot my camera, but everyone else took a few pictures.
I'm already excited about next year's party!
