My Survival Guide

Pregnancy Survival Guide
{with a little eye candy at the end}

I bought this wedge pillow very early on in my pregnancy. Like at 8 weeks or something crazy like that. I have used it every single day. At first I slept with it under my super sore boobs. Then as my belly grew, I used it like the girl in the picture. It seriously makes the world of a difference in terms of comfort.

Chad's sister let me borrow this total body pillow. Some nights I liked it. Some I hated it. I'm pretty ready to give the damn thing back because I'm ready to sleep like a normal person again. I toss and turn in my sleep and with this pillow its pretty impossible to do and not get tangled up. But it really did help me get some good sleep sometimes.

I've had TONS of cravings these past 9 months. Some of the ones that stuck around for awhile were the cravings for Philly cheese steaks, anything with carmalized Vidalia onions, French onion soup, St. Louis Bread Co., Taco Bell (until the great meat debate. Nothing gives you the pukes like wondering if you're eating real meat or not.), cheese fries, soggy waffles and fajitas. My current craving of choice is Jack in the Box tacos. I seriously think about them alllllllll the time. I gave into every craving these past 9 months and I do not regret it at all.

Jack in the Box tacos. Just one of the many, many cravings I've experienced.

When my belly first started showing, I bought some super cute maternity clothes. Well those haven't fit for about 5 months. All those size small maternity tanks that I thought I could wear through the whole pregnancy still look brand new. I ended up having to go to Old Navy in a fit of despair during their $1 tank sale and stocking up on size large in women's (not maternity). The maternity ones were $10 a piece. $10 vs $1... really? $1 always wins. They didn't look as cute on as the maternity ones did, but oh well. And even now those suckers don't fit. My belly peeks out the bottom in a gross way that's not appropriate outside the house. Basically if I can give you any advice..... don't buy tons of maternity clothes early on! If you're anything like me you will only get 2 months use out of it. One thing that I bought a lot of and have gotten my use out of is cute sundresses and cheap rubber flip flops. But buy the dresses a tad big. They aren't going to be super cute on in the beginning, but you'll be happy to have something cute to wear in your 3rd trimester. And the rubber flip flops? I thought I was going to be able to wear my heels til I pooped. Yep that sure didn't happen. I can't even wear my Converse anymore. The only thing on me that swells is my feet and ankles and it is uncomfortable. The flops help. Also I couldn't tie real shoes if I tried.

Another thing I am currently obsessed with (but not as much as those tacos) is pedicures. I got one pedi during my first trimester and it was nice. BUT not nearly as nice as the one I got 3 days ago. I haven't been able to reach my feet in a good month or two. Its a major struggle to even put on underwear. So doing my own toes? A huge no go. I've only had two pedicures since my first trimester and they were amazing. Its nice to look at your feet and not be disgusted. I wish I would have started getting these done earlier!!!!!!

Here's your eye candy! 39 weeks baby! I never thought there would be a week 39 picture. I would have bet money that I would have popped by now.

Now off to eat my body weight in something delish while I still can!
XO! - Jess
