Country-Style Chicken Dinner

What you need:
1 1/2 cups frozen hash browns
Half of a 2.8 oz can French fried onions
Half of a 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup milk
3-4 slices American cheese
1-1 1/2 pounds chicken pieces
Half of a 10 oz package frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained

Step 1) Preheat oven to 375. In 2 quart baking dish combine frozen potatoes and 1/2 of the French fried onions. Mix soup and milk and pour half over potato mixture.
Step 2) Arrange cheese slices over potato mixture, cutting to fit if necessary. Top with chicken. Pour in remaining soup. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes. 
Step 3) Stir vegetables into potatoes and turn chicken over. Bake uncovered for 20 more minutes. 
Step 4) Stir potato mixture and top chicken with remaining fried onions. Bake 3 minutes. Let stand for 15. 

This dish looks weird, but is really, really good and very easy!!!!!
